Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much respected school in Methuen, MA who are currently seeking an occupational therapist to assist them on a contractual basis for the 24/25 school year.

Details of the position include:

Locations: Methuen, MA

Start: ASAP

Duration: 24/25 school year

Facility Type: School

Schedule: Mon- Fri, 7:45A - 3:15P

Details: A pre-kindergarten through grade 8 enrollment of approximately 1,140 students. The school has significant system-wide programs for English language learners, language-delayed students and students with severe special needs.

• Conduct special education assessments for students referred for TEAM evaluations and reevaluations. Work with staff, parents, and students collaboratively to ensure effective plans and interventions are designed and implemented to support student success

• Support the school-wide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).Write assessment reports as part of the special education eligibility process

• Provide direct and consultative services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Participate in IEP eligibility team meetings, including reporting out on evaluations

• Review Independent Education Evaluations and outside evaluations to summarize and present at IEP Team meetings

  Requirements:

  • Masters in Occupational Therapy

  • (OTR/L) Licensed in Massachusetts

  • Must have experience working with children. Experience working with students with mild-moderate disabilities preferred.

  Pay Rate: $45-$52/hour (based on experience)
