Position Overview: Sao Miguel Construction Company is actively recruiting skilled and motivated carpenters, including apprentices and foremen, to join our dynamic team. This presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about carpentry, eager to contribute to exciting remodel projects, and ready to grow within a supportive work environment. The position involves regional travel to various remodel sites, and candidates must be flexible to work up to 55 hours a week, including 15 hours of overtime as needed. Additionally, all travel expenses will be covered by the company.
Responsibilities:
Carpentry Work: Execute a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors and windows, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry work.
Read and Interpret Blueprints: Understand and interpret project blueprints, ensuring accurate execution of construction plans.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, fellow carpenters, and other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
Quality Assurance: Uphold high-quality standards in all carpentry work, ensuring precision, durability, and adherence to safety regulations.
Apprentice Training: For apprentices, actively engage in on-the-job training, learning from experienced carpenters, and developing skills under supervision.
Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
Travel: Be willing to travel to various regional remodel sites as required by project needs, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a carpenter or completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work up to 55 hours a week, including 15 hours of overtime.
Flexibility to travel regionally to various remodel sites.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate between $28 to $40, with opportunities for overtime pay.
