Position Overview: Sao Miguel Construction Company is actively recruiting skilled and motivated carpenters, including apprentices and foremen, to join our dynamic team. This presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about carpentry, eager to contribute to exciting remodel projects, and ready to grow within a supportive work environment. The position involves regional travel to various remodel sites, and candidates must be flexible to work up to 55 hours a week, including 15 hours of overtime as needed. Additionally, all travel expenses will be covered by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry Work: Execute a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors and windows, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry work.

  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Understand and interpret project blueprints, ensuring accurate execution of construction plans.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, fellow carpenters, and other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.

  • Quality Assurance: Uphold high-quality standards in all carpentry work, ensuring precision, durability, and adherence to safety regulations.

  • Apprentice Training: For apprentices, actively engage in on-the-job training, learning from experienced carpenters, and developing skills under supervision.

  • Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a hazard-free environment.

  • Travel: Be willing to travel to various regional remodel sites as required by project needs, with all travel expenses covered by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work up to 55 hours a week, including 15 hours of overtime.

  • Flexibility to travel regionally to various remodel sites.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate between $28 to $40, with opportunities for overtime pay.
