Mercy Medical Center Clinton Practice Supervisor - Adult Medicine (40 Hours) in Mercy Medical Group - Chicopee, Massachusetts
Under the direction of the Manager, Operations Physician Practices, the Practice Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the practice and performing a variety of administrative functions related to the practice operations.
Under the leadership of the Manager, Operations Physician Practices, the Practice Supervisor directly supervises support staff and all functions related to patient flow.
Ensures daily rounding is performed to enable smooth patient flow.
Coordinates staff within assigned practices to ensure proper coverage for quality patient care.
Monitors attendance for all practice employees. Addresses concerns in a timely manner.
Identifies office inefficiencies and proposes solutions.
Responsible for customer service and productivity standards within the assigned practices. Ensures that the Manager, Operations Physician Practices is informed of issues in a timely fashion.
Collaborates with the Manager, Operations Physician Practices in all hiring decisions and employee performance management.
Ensures all equipment is maintained and inventories are at appropriate levels for the practice needs.
Orients all new hires to practice office procedures and ensures access and training to systems as needed.
Ensures staff adherence to policies and procedures, compliance, risk management and HIPPA requirements.
Attendance is in accordance with departmental needs and organizational policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CREDENTIALS AND ABILITIES:
Graduate of an accredited R.N. program. Current Massachusetts R.N. license required; CPR required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
Three (3) to four (4) years of related clinical and/or hospital experience, or previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting preferred.
Experience in an outpatient office environment preferred; one (1+) year supervisory/managerial experience is preferred. Proven experience in all aspects of a medical/healthcare practice.
Excellent organization and communication skills required.
Proficient use of computers and electronic medical record.
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with all levels within the organization.
