Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. This position will be responsible for managing Labor and Delivery at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients. This critical role coordinates activities between defined areas, and provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise in area assigned in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the Nursing Departments.

You Will Be Responsible For :
Exceptional Patient Care: Ensures that care is delivered with respect for individuals’ rights and preferences.
Excellent Analyst: Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of health care for the critical care patient. Accountable for quality initiatives for core measures, ACT initiatives and patient satisfaction
Continued Professional Growth: Assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling personnel. Assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, considering scope of practice, competencies, patient/client/resident needs, and complexity of care.
Demonstrates Clinical Competency: Coordinates nursing care with other health care disciplines, and assists in integrating services across the continuum of health care. Supports the Care Coordination model.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Knowledge of nursing practices normally acquired by completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Masters in Nursing or health related field or actively working toward preferred.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.
Certification: CPR certification required. Instructorship preferred (Acute). ACLS certification required and Instructorship preferred in critical care areas (ER, Critical Care, IMC).
Basic computer skills required.
Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.
Education: Knowledge of nursing practices normally acquired by completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Masters in Nursing or health related field or actively working toward preferred.
Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years demonstrated clinical and management experience.
