Tufts University Data Analytics Project Manager in Medford, Massachusetts

Plan, implement, and maintain data analytics projects from conception to delivery. Partner with the chief marketing officer and UCM leadership in developing data analytics solutions that measure UCM achievement. Work closely with strategy leads, other technical staff, project stakeholders, and graduate schools to scope project requirements to measure and analyze enrollment and fundraising achievement. Understand project requirements and convert marketing questions into data metrics questions to capture in dashboards and reporting. Define key performance metrics that enable the measurement of performance and health of marketing initiatives and answer important business questions. Collaborate with schools to better understand their data needs, evaluate data availability, quality, and accessibility and partner with TTS to define a data workflow to meet schools data needs related to enrollment goals. Identify and develop partnerships across schools and central administration (including OIR, Finance, and TTS) to acquire data and continually innovate in the data gathering process. Extract, transform, and analyze data across multiple data sources using MS Excel and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python. Develop presentations and findings in MS Word and PowerPoint. Develop and design enrollment marketing and web analytics dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence Software such as Tableau and Google Looker Studio. Anticipate needs and proactively seek feedback from stakeholders to refine, update, and enhance KPI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements. Use statistical measures such as central tendencies, trends, and seasonality in explaining metrics. Develop actionable insights from analytics projects and present findings to various stakeholders within and outside of UCM. Identify trends and opportunities in the metrics and dashboards to maximize the effectiveness of audience reach. Analyze data to perform deep dive and root cause analysis to explain changes in metrics. Perform ad hoc analysis to answer questions from leadership teams pertaining to historical trends, target profiles, performance trajectories, etc. Execute web analytics projects using tools such as Google Analytics and SEM Rush, which includes defining key metrics and success measures, perform data quality checks, and dashboarding using Google Looker Studio. Coordinate with external agencies or internal teams to define web analytics metrics using Google Tag Manager and ensure accurate implementation. Provide consultation to schools on data analysis opportunities, identify data availability, gaps, and acquisitions. Requirements: Masters Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics; six years experience in a position involving business analysis, data analysis, and data forecasting. Experience using data programming languages including SQL, and R/Python and data visualization tools including Tableau and Data Studio. Experience analyzing data from multiple data sources to articulate year over year, trend insights, and performing root cause analyses; experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to analyze web traffic data, and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with Project Management, including defining project requirements based on business needs, gathering resources, defining project teams, and developing timelines.
