US Foods Mgr, Field Credit (Virtual Northeast Region) in Massachusetts, Massachusetts

Supervises and supports Division Credit Departments to provide leadership and ensure compliance to the corporate credit,

Corporate Reserve, and Corporate Escheatment policies. Provides training in risk administration, credit and collection

techniques and assistance with collection workout situations. Reports on the major issues to senior management.

Ensure divisional understanding and compliance concerning credit, collections and terms are within the requirements of the Corporate Credit and Collections Policy.

Oversee and assist with financial and risk administration to ensure accurate presentation of information in evaluating

creditworthiness of all account exposures. In conjunction with Division President reviews and approves customer credit up to $250,000 and Net 45 day terms.

Maintain credit extensions are within an acceptable return on investment considering financial risk.

Participate in and insure proper approval of accounts in assigned area per credit policy.

Review and ensure divisional enforcement of collection efforts within customer terms and maintain accounts at 80%

current or better at all times.

Review and ensure all other aspects outlined in Corporate Credit and Collections Policy are adhered to. These responsibilities include but are not limited to credit approval, collections, payment methodology, note execution and collection, settlements, bankruptcy administration, reserve calculations, and write-off recommendations.

Maintain compliance with regards to Exception requests and documentation of resolutions per Corporate Credit and

Collection Policy.

Compile and analyze AR statistics to address trends and compare divisional performance within the customer mix of the divisions.

Provide independent support and advice to division credit mangers in situations where sales goals and customer loyalties conflict with sound credit and collection actions and decisions.

Enhance the US Foodservice image in the marketplace by professionally engaging the Divisional Credit Managers in

direct communication with customers concerning credit exposure and problematic collections. Regional Credit Managers provide divisions with additional leverage and resources to accomplishment credit and collection goals while conveying to customers the US Foodservice commitment of excellence in executing all aspects of our business.

Complete required Credit and AR related SOX documentation, tracking and reporting.

Support any required Internal or External Audits as required. Maintain direct communications and frequent visitation with the divisions to maintain reporting issues and deviations from the Corporate Credit Policy.

Supervisory responsibilities involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinate's, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions. Direct and indirect staff per RCM will range from 20-75.

Budget responsibility for assigned area of responsibility.

50 - 75% or more travel


Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related work experience required. Advanced degree


Related Experience: 10 or more year's progressive experience in credit and collections required. 2+ years prior

supervisory experience required. Active involvement in the Credit field.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Knowledge of credit related legal processes is required; Good analytical and problem solving

skills required; must be detail oriented and have strong organizational, oral and written communication skills; must have

ability to assess financial reports and have in-depth knowledge of business law as it relates to credit, bankruptcy - specific

to claims - admin, PACA, preferences and defenses; strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to work

cooperatively with individuals at all levels within the and with customers; advanced Excel and Access skills are required.
