Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a 1:1 Developmental Specialist to work at a Day Program in Mashpee, MA. In this role you will support individuals with disabilities by providing directsupport on a one to one basis. You will partner with us in our mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people withdisabilities. We are looking a 1:1 Developmental Specialist with a commitment to compassion, teamwork and serving the community.

Details of the position include:

Location: Mashpee, MA

Setting: Day Center

Start date: ASAP

Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am - 3pm

What you will do as an Aide:

• Implement Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP) objectives

• Document individuals’ progress towards DHSP objectives

• Assist individuals physically as necessary

• Ensure the health, safety, and general wellbeing of the individual

• Provide and maintain community based habilitation/therapeutic experiences through social, recreational and volunteer opportunities, based on the individual’s needs and wishes

• Transport the individual as assigned

  What you will need as an Aide:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

• Experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities preferred

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record preferred

• Ability to lift 30lbs, assist individuals in/out of wheelchairs or up from/down to mats

• Demonstrated ability to work independently
