A R&D Technician is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Marlborough, MA area. This role supports R&D by developing prototypes, using CAD software, coordinating testing, and ensuring quality compliance, requiring an AA degree and relevant experience.

salary: $29.70 - 37.92 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Associates

responsibilities:

• Develop concepts and construct prototypes/products based on those concepts.

• Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.

• Propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.

• Organize, coordinate, and execute the building and testing of prototypes/products according to engineering instructions.

• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.

• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to identify and obtain necessary supplies and services.

• Act as a resource to other employees.

• Communicate project status to project teams.

Skills: Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• LabVIEW experience.

• Familiarity with laboratory test equipment.

• Experience with medical devices.

• Experience with lasers.

Education and Experience:

• AA degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline

• With 3 years of recent related experience.
