Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principal Configuration Analyst to work in Marlborough, MA.

Data Managers are needed on multiple mission critical programs. Experience all aspects of a product life cycle, as a member of a fast-paced team. Position responsibilities include reading the statement of work/1423 forms, understanding the integrated master schedule, load submission schedule, track/status/submit/close submissions and support program events. After learning data management, candidate will learn software configuration management (SW CM) to serve as a SW CM alternative to the currently SW CM lead. SW CM role includes supporting SW engineering leads to process SW releases and changes. The candidate also has the opportunity to learn hardware configuration management (HW CM) as the role evolves.

Responsibilities: • Work in a dynamic environment in which evolving program priorities dictate individual task priority • This position is part of a larger program/functional team and requires regular collaboration with team members to ensure on-time submissions and an accurate submission schedule • Work independently, is a self-starter and understands the submission requirements, while supporting team goals and communicating task status • May be required to work a modified schedule to support team goals • Support SW release and changes

Qualifications/Experience Needed: • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience • Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Product Data Management (PDM) Tool experience • Work independently on tasks • Strong communication and reading/comprehension skills • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks

Security Clearance: • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications: • Understanding of configuration management concepts • Ability to solve ad hoc issues • Ability to read statement of work, 1423 forms, integrated master schedule and work product management plan
