Job Description

Key Responsibilities Sales and Marketing:

 Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies for Sales and Marketing, focusing on media marketing plans for TV, print, and radio, creative services, market research, consulting, and promotional items.

 Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms.

 AI Integration: Leverage artificial intelligence to enhance sourcing strategies, optimize supplier performance, and drive efficiencies in procurement processes.

 Global Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with global business objectives. Ensure consistency and compliance with corporate policies and standards.

 Media Marketing Plans: Oversee the development and execution of media marketing plans, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies and objectives.

 Creative Services: Manage the procurement of creative services, including advertising, design, and production, to support marketing campaigns.

 Market Research: Source and manage market research services to provide insights and data that inform marketing strategies and decisions.

 Consulting Services: Procure consulting services to support various marketing initiatives and projects.

 Promotional Items: Oversee the sourcing and management of promotional items to support marketing and sales activities.

Quantitative Requirements:

 Cost Savings Goals: Utilize benchmarking and industry data to achieve cost savings goals and cost avoidance objectives in key categories such as media, creative services, and market research.

 Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, cost savings, and overall category management effectiveness.

 Data-Driven Decisions: Implement data analytics to drive decision-making processes, ensuring optimal sourcing strategies and supplier selection.

 Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with financial targets and business objectives.

 Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sourcing processes, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities Legal and Compliance

1. Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:

o Develop and implement sourcing strategies for legal services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.

2. Technology Platform Management:

o Oversee the selection and implementation of technology platforms to streamline legal operations.

o Ensure integration of legal technology solutions with existing systems for efficient workflow management.

3. Legal Fee Arrangements:

o Analyze and negotiate legal fee arrangements, including alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) to optimize cost efficiency.

o Monitor and manage legal spend, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.

4. Supplier Performance Management:

o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure supplier performance.

o Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.

5. Risk Management and Compliance:

o Identify and mitigate risks associated with legal sourcing and supplier management.

o Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and IT departments, to understand their needs and requirements.

o Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders and suppliers.

7. Market Analysis and Benchmarking:

o Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

o Use insights to drive continuous improvement in sourcing strategies and processes.

8. Contract Management:

o Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts with legal service providers.

o Ensure contracts are aligned with organizational policies and objectives.

9. Cost Savings and Efficiency:

o Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies in legal sourcing.

o Implement initiatives to achieve cost reduction and improve overall sourcing effectiveness.

10. Reporting and Analytics:

o Develop and maintain reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.

o Use data analytics to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

The compensation for this role ranges between $43/HR and 60/HR depending on skillset, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in Category Management or relevant role.

Experience supporting Marketing and Legal functions

Experience running multiple RFP's at once

Contract Negotiation experience

Experience with an SAP tool Ariba Experience

Tableau experience null
