Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a Real Estate Counsel for a north of Boston client. Great lifestyle organization!

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal expertise in all aspects of corporate governance, including the creation of corporations and limited partnerships, and managing corporate filings and records.

• Advise on corporate strategy and oversee operational and compliance matters.

• Handle the legal processes of commercial acquisitions and financing: draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, perform due diligence reviews, and negotiate mortgage applications and other related documents.

• Oversee zoning, land use, and development matters: author amendments to zoning by-laws, secure special permits and variances, and represent in Land Court, Superior Court, and before administrative and regulatory boards.

• Liaise with Licensed Site Professionals on environmental matters, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and facilitating the successful redevelopment of contaminated sites.

• Negotiate and oversee all office, retail, industrial, and ground leases for the commercial property management firm.

• Review and clear real estate titles, compose easements and licenses, and draft activity and use limitations.

• Handle and oversee litigation: represent corporations and limited partnerships in court on matters involving real estate, construction, and business disputes.

• Supervise the drafting of construction contracts and handle disputes arising from these contracts.

• Maintain and revise the employee handbook and policies, provide expert advice on employee termination, discrimination, gender, and ADA matters.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid license to practice law in Massachusetts.

• Demonstrable experience with 3M, Case Management Software, Legal Software, LexisNexis, and Management System.
