Description

We are in search of an Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to the development and management of our Datacenter operations. In this role, you'll play a vital part in crafting, executing, maintaining, and supporting cutting-edge services built upon technologies such as VMware, KVM, and CEPH. As a valued member of our Engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with our Datacenter Team on various ongoing initiatives.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the conceptualization and execution of virtualization and container services, streamlining deployments through configuration management systems, crafting automation tools, utilizing programming prowess for enhanced monitoring capabilities, and proactively identifying and resolving system and performance challenges. Your interactions will involve direct engagement with fellow team members and clients. This role is exclusively onsite.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in designing, constructing, and overseeing routers and switches, coupled with mentoring junior staff

• Comprehensive comprehension of data center network provisioning

• Proficiency in utilizing network management tools, along with a track record of deploying and managing firewalls/routers. A solid grasp of perimeter technologies including Next Gen Firewall, Network Load Balancing, DHCP, DNS, VPN, BGP, OSPF, SIP/RTP

• Hands-on experience in deploying and managing multisite VPN solutions

• Extensive familiarity with Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco routing, and switching

• Demonstrated ability to dissect and analyze network communications at the packet level

• Knowledgeable about ITIL and change management processes

• Practical experience across multiple platforms in corporate environments such as Windows, Linux, OSX, Cisco, and others

• History of working on network design across various scales from SMB to Enterprise settings

• Profound understanding and practical experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMWare, OpenStack, OpenNebula, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Proficient in monitoring and optimizing the performance of virtualized networks, including bottleneck identification, configuration optimization, and ensuring network compliance with performance standards

• Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-paced business and IT setting. Strong teamwork skills are a must.
