Actalent Senior Quality Engineer in Lowell, Massachusetts
Job Description
As a Quality Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the process documentation including Procedures, Process Maps, Job Aids, and more. You will contribute to QA Reporting such as Management Review, Quality Alerts, test records, 8D-Reports, and report directly to the Quality Systems Manager regarding audits, metrics (KPI), and approval processes. Your role will involve controlling continuous improvements on the production floor and supporting departments in fulfilling QA requirements through supplier evaluation and audits. Furthermore, you will supervise the Production Floor by overseeing the inspection activities of the Kanban Production Line, managing nonconforming material, and ensuring production standards are maintained. You will execute testing and quality initiatives, delegate inspection tasks, devise methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Additionally, you will lead root cause analysis of high priority returned items, lead the Quality team in troubleshooting, and perform field and vendor visits to investigate quality issues, providing detailed reports and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
