UKG provides HCM software and solutions to organizations of all sizes, from small and medium businesses to many of the largest and most sophisticated enterprises in the world, across all industries. Our solutions include payment services, managing on behalf of our clients payments due to employees, tax agencies and other third parties. UKG is seeking an experienced bank President to assist us in effectively managing a national trust bank, including oversight and primary responsibility for all pre-charter, organization-stage and post-charter activity.
The President will lead the initiative to develop and/or implement a business plan and organizational framework to support the day-to-day management of the bank. The President will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to a national trust bank charter and its safe and sound operations. The President will oversee the operations of a growing trust bank that handles a substantial volume of payment receipts and distributions. This candidate will also lead UKG’s on-going initiatives to comply with state laws until the national trust bank charter is obtained.
Requirements
Prior experience in a financial services regulated environment, successful experience managing a bank or serving as a senior bank officer in a national bank or FDIC-insured financial institution, fintech, or money movement company.
Possess excellent communications skills and ability to navigate a complex, fast-moving tech environment.
Ability to develop successful relationships with UKG’s senior leadership team and to align bank objectives and requirements with UKG’s overall corporate strategy.
Excellent time management, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Highly organized and the ability to get up to speed rapidly.
Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CTFA) preferred.
Proven executive leadership experience in banking, with a focus on fiduciary matters at a OCC- regulated entity.
In-depth understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated ability to make sound financial decisions and drive business growth.
Overview
The President will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and oversight for the overall direction and administration of the bank. This position requires a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the financial, fintech, money movement, and/or fiduciary sectors, capable of managing a diverse portfolio of assets and documents related to fiduciary trust matters. The successful candidate will have a strong background in banking or similar operations, fiduciary and trust powers, risk management, compliance, and experience leading and working in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategic direction for the bank in alignment with organizational goals. Provide leadership in the formulation and execution of business plans, ensuring the long-term success and growth of the bank. Lead and provide strategic direction for the company’s current state money transmitter license program until such time as a national trust charter is obtained
Fiduciary Oversight: Assume ultimate responsibility for safe and sound operation and proper maintenance of all client-funds, assets held or managed, documents and development of customer-facing documents and disclosures. Implement and maintain robust systems and processes to ensure the proper administration and safeguarding of trust assets.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant banking and fiduciary regulations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and update policies and procedures as necessary.
Financial Management: Oversee the financial health of the bank, working closely with the finance team to manage budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting. Make strategic financial decisions to uphold fiduciary risks to maximize shareholder returns.
Risk Management: Collaborate with CSO/IT and other functions to develop and implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the bank against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Lead regular assessment and updates to the bank’s risk management policies and procedures.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and growth.

The pay range for this position is $200,000.00 to $275,000.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
