Lead Product Manager, UKG Inc., Lowell, MA (Hybrid)

Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Product Development, will partner with key stakeholders in an agile environment with responsibility for defining and evangelizing the overall strategy and vision for a single software product area.  Will understand customer and market needs and coordinate development priorities to maximize the software product value. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the definition of product strategy and direction of investment as it relates to the integration with our UKG Suite Products.

  • Articulating a clear product vision to development teams that is aligned to the overall strategy for product integration.

  • Serving as the voice of the customer and taking an outside-in approach leveraging customer interaction, industry trends, and competitive intelligence as a foundation for product direction and decision-making.

  • Clearly communicating the vision and priorities to different teams and stakeholders. 

  • Coordinating software product development and providing insight with respect to relevant metrics, benchmarks, and usage data.

  • Contributing to definition of the software design and development roadmap and working to ensure that the IT development team fully own and effectively develop software features.

  • Creating and collaborating on software product feature overviews, detailed designs, documentation, and prototypes using Agile methodologies.

  • Working with Software Engineering, User Experience, and Product Delivery Teams, in order to build software products that customers love.

  • Fostering a strong product-focused culture for the entire team based on best practices for discovery.

  • Practicing strong stewardship of the product investment and making decisions with competing priorities.

This is a project management role which does not manage a team or have direct reports.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a technology-focused Product Manager. Must also have 5 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:

  • Leading cross-functional teams responsible for delivering large, complex software features in a SaaS environment;

  • Leading software integration and API initiatives;

  • Market research, user experiences, and stakeholder partnership engagement; and

  • Developing, socializing, and delivering long-term roadmap plans.

This hybrid position works 3 days/week at the company offices in Lowell, Massachusetts, and 2 days/week at a home office.
