Inside Sales Representative

Intertek is searching for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Business Assurance team in our Lowell, MA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Sales.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting sales team in the capacity of inside sales, including outside sales activities.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role are listed below and are not limited to:

Completing the sale when a signed contract has been received by the BDM

  • Review and complete all documentation and records required for scheduling

  • Complete the Credit Check and W9

  • Confirm the customers preferred audit dates and alert scheduling to challenging schedules

  • Complete all transfer documentation packages

  • Update all required reports and records outside of iConnect

  • Resolve any discrepancies in CIF, CIFA, Quote Worksheet, Quote and Certification Agreement

  • Check Pricing, Fees, Etc. for compliance with Intertek guideline

Confirming status with new customers and setting expectations for next actions

  • Confirm the desired schedule for audit actions

  • Complete all documentation as per the above

  • Explain the operations process and provide contact information for scheduling and supporting operations personnel

Supporting specific salespeople with whom they are teamed

  • Provide help to the BDM when traveling to complete documentation

  • Research and expedite prospect issues that need attention from the team

  • Provide support with quoting and customer communication

Support generating new business with pre-existing customers

  • Follow-up with customers following completed projects

  • Leverage existing customers to secure repeat sales

  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities

What it takes to be successful in this role:


  • Associate or higher college degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of Industry (regulatory) experience in the field of customer service or similar position

  • Ability to interact with clients and potential customers.

  • Technical writing skills (for scopes/sector codes)

  • Knowledge of Medical QMS principles is preferred.

  • Proven attention to details

  • Excellent Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize organizes and follows through on multiple tasks – Strong organization skills mandatory!

  • Experience with Microsoft package and intranet applications.

  • Experience with electronic databases is preferred.

  • Ability to obtain, evaluate and act upon factual information

  • Ability to interact with various departments (i.e, certificates, scheduling, accounting/billing, Sector Program Managers, etc) to ensure complete customer satisfaction and timely responses to all inquiries and quoting responsibilities.
