Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Architect will play a crucial role managing and enhancing the IT server and storage infrastructure. This role demands a proactive approach to ensure high system availability and efficiency, alongside effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate will bring a robust technical background, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining cutting-edge IT environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Manage and maintain the IT server and storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Monitor and troubleshoot servers, applications, and network systems, collaborating closely with third-party support vendors as needed.

• Deploy and configure server applications and tools in both physical and virtual environments, spanning production and non-production settings.

• Perform break-fix and troubleshooting for server, storage, and network hardware components.

• Collaborate effectively with developers and other IT team members to integrate infrastructure solutions that support business objectives.

• Evaluate, develop, and implement streamlined processes and procedures to standardize server and storage environments, optimizing efficiency and reliability.

• Act as an escalation point for Level 3 incidents and helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

• Occasionally travel to other sites to provide on-site IT project support as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in on-site data center operations or system administration roles.

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems (familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking concepts).

• Experience with Dell server hardware, including RAID configurations, memory management, and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

• Strong knowledge of VMware, ESXi, and Nutanix virtualization platforms.

• Experience in storage administration and management.

• Hands-on experience in the installation of servers, switches, and filers within server rooms and data centers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure technologies are preferred.

• Previous experience within the Semiconductor industry is preferred.

• Working knowledge of networking and cybersecurity principles is a plus.

• Due to the nature of the work candidates must be a United States Citizen or United States Permanent Resident.
