Eliot Community Human Services Inc Forensic PACT Operations Manager in Lowell, Massachusetts
Eliot is currently seeking an Operations Manager for the new Lowell Forensic Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team.. Knowledge of motivational interviewing, harm reduction techniques, and placement options. A proven experience in community-based work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness are a must. PACT is an evidenced based multidisciplinary outreach mental program that serves adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses in the community. PACT clinicians work as a team to collaborate with consumers to develop treatment interventions that assist them in their recovery process. Responsibilities: Ensure that consumers are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with ECHS\'s Human Rights policy. Provide and maintain boundaries and a professional relationship with consumers. Ensure that the emotional vulnerability of the consumer is not exploited for personal or other interests and act in a manner that cannot be misconstrued by the consumer. Actively take part in supervision, staff meetings, in-services and trainings as required or determined by supervisor. Coordinate, hire, supervise, evaluate and schedule Relief staff for the Forensic PACT GLE. Work collaboratively with all staff to identify scheduling needs of the program. Enter data from activity logs into tracking system in order to ensure that consumer contacts and billing information are accurate. Complete daily data entry within 24 hours of activity logs being turned in. Inform supervisor within 24 hours if there are any missing activity logs for a staff member. Maintain data base of consumer insurance information and ensure that insurance information is correct for billing purposes. Produce monthly reports for DMH and MBHP for billing purposes under the direction of the Team Leader. Complete prior authorizations for insurance companies when needed in order to ensure that billing is properly collected. Ensure that prior authorizations are completed prior to a denial of insurance. Qualifications: Must have bachelor\'s degree or master\'s degree in psychology, criminal justice, social work or related field and three year\'s experience in the field. Must have a strong commitment to mental health recovery. Must have skills to establish supportive relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for their preferences for treatment. Must have ability to communicate clearly and effectively with consumers and engage consumer in rehabilitation. Must have ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work. Must have an understanding of the unique needs and history/background of the population being served which includes persons who have limited social skills and experiences with histories of unsuccessful community tenure that can be due to minimal community exposure as a result of long term hospitalizations or incarcerations; who have extensive criminal justice involvement (e.g. multiple Section 35\'s, problematic sexual behaviors, assaults and other criminal arrests); and who have a history of an inability to maintain housing, including eviction. Ability to work a flexible work schedule contingent upon program needs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with periods of high stress.
