Description A well respected, growing company in Longmeadow, MA is looking to hire a Purchasing Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the processing of purchase orders. Must be well versed in Microsoft excel to update pricing in their system, track document upgrades and purchase order changes, generate pricing on new product (by viewing drawings and current purchase orders for like product), generate new state contracts, update current contracts and monitor web sites for upcoming changes, create and maintain price lists. Will work directly with Senior Buyer to expedite purchase orders and research competitive pricing (simple google searches), write up requisition sheets when needed. Experience in purchasing environment. Electrical/plumbing knowledge a plus. Requirements: ? Ability to prioritize, multitask and work well under pressure ? Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail ? Strong oral and written communication skills ? Ability to use good judgment when making business decisions ?
