About the role:

A dynamic and visionary individual is sought to join our organization as a highly engaged member of the Commercial Data Management & Strategy Team (CDMS). As a key team member in CDMS, the Master Data Domain Lead will play a crucial role in driving and navigating transformative initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and growth. The ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and your CDMS teammates, combined with problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset, will be paramount to success in this role. The ability to embrace change and desire to achieve organizational objectives is critical. As the Senior Manager of Master Data Process and Governance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the governance, processes, and organization of our Master Data. Reporting to the Director of Master Data Management, you will be responsible for orchestrating meetings, setting agendas, documenting outcomes, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders. Your expertise in commercial execution and master data processes will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our master data. You will serve as the central point of contact for master data documentation - capturing, storing, and making it available to stakeholders. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, you will challenge and refine requirements to improve the specificity and alignment of our master data with organizational objectives.

How you will contribute:

  • Organize and facilitate meetings, setting agendas, documenting outcomes, and distributing them to stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.

  • Own communication channels for the master data team, fostering collaboration and transparency among team members and stakeholders.

  • Monitor internal team dynamics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration within the organization.

  • Provide expertise in commercial execution processes, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a resource for resolving complex problems.

  • Manage and maintain master data documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for stakeholders.

  • Challenge and refine requirements provided by stakeholders to improve specificity, clarity, and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Establish and enforce governance policies, processes, and business rules for master data management, ensuring compliance and data integrity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, streamline processes, and optimize workflows related to master data management.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance master data processes, tools, and documentation to support business needs and objectives.

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and accountability.

  • Establish and enforce governance policies, processes, and business rules for master data management.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and improve efficiency within the master data team.

  • Manage, maintain, and continually audit master data documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for stakeholders.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in commercial execution processes, troubleshooting issues, and resolving complex problems.

  • Facilitation and organization of meetings, agendas, and recaps.

  • Establishes good working relationships with business owners, and supporting the governance structure to ensure on-going data accuracy and completeness

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of management level experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries.

  • Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables

  • Ability to set priorities for themselves and their direct or matrixed team, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace.

  • Strong analytical skills and can support budget management activities.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority.

  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for their responsibilities

  • Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small teams. Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry desired.

  • Expertise in commercial execution processes and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in documentation management and governance.

  • Ability to challenge and refine requirements to improve specificity and alignment.

  • A strong background in third party data vendor management, data analysis, and business requirements definitions and is technology and system savvy

  • Solid understanding of master data concepts, processes, and tools including data modeling, data profiling, data quality assessment, data integration and data governance.

  • Ability and proven experience translating business needs of regional and global applications and business processes into data requirements.

  • Knowledge of Enterprise-level multi-domain Master Data Management platform such as Informatica MDM, Reltio MDM, IBM Infosphere, etc.

  • Experience in Cloud applications such as Salesforce, Veeva, Netsuite etc.

  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik and Tableau.

  • Knowledge on models of MDM implementation.

  • Experience with global teams required.]

  • Experience with data structures, relations and processes

  • Demonstrates competency in: understanding and correcting data discrepancies; reading and translating data models; data querying; identifying data anomalies and root cause analysis;

  • Problem solver, overseeing a portfolio of multiple initiatives while building and leveraging relationships to support business and project/program goals

  • Ability to manage projects on tight timelines and summarize multiple sources of data.

  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to manage simultaneous projects, prioritizing based on business criticality/needs, in a demanding environment

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
