Solidus is looking for a Software Algorithm Engineer to join a team that develops advanced technology prototypes to improve the safety, efficiency, and security of the nation’s air transportation system. The engineer will be responsible for the development, analysis, and testing of software algorithms and associated software infrastructure to demonstrate advanced system concepts, including defensive cyber security capabilities and wake turbulence mitigation wind forecasting architectures.
Software/application design, development, maintenance, and testing of prototype algorithms and associated software infrastructure and libraries.
Participate in defining, describing and implementing program deliverables and functionalities.
Supporting tech transfers as directed by the government sponsor.
US Citizenship and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Active Secret preferred.
PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years minimum experience.
Software/applications; Java, Python, Linux, Agile.
Cloud computing; AWS
Developing, debugging, and executing software in a Linux and Windows environment.
Understanding mathematical algorithms coded in software.
Experience with real-time software applications.
Experience with software configuration management.
Active Secret Clearance.
