Actalent Lab Technician in Lexington, Massachusetts

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Assist study leads with combination drug-device assembly and test sample preparation.

  2. Assist study leads with in vitro release study preparation, sampling and media replacement.

  3. Assist study leads with data collection and processing to characterize product performance.

  4. Perform proper notebook documentation of laboratory experiments.

  5. Coordinate off-site gamma irradiation runs of product.

  6. Receiving materials on site and perform domestic/international shipping (hazardous/nonhazardous materials).

  7. Coordinate disposal of lab waste when needed and work in conjunction with the Safety Team to ensure all safety related issues are promptly addressed.

  8. Maintain laboratory cleaning schedule and organize clean-outs as needed.

  9. Monitor space needs (benches, storage, etc.) and ensure that needs are met.

10.On-site contact person for laboratory maintenance and work requests

11.Assist with new equipment purchase/implementation and decommissioning/removal of unnecessary or obsolete equipment.

We expect that a majority of work hours will be spent assisting study leads with laboratory work and the receipt and shipment of materials.

Qualifications

· 2 or 4 year degree in the sciences or engineering field

· Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and a collaborative work approach

· Knowledge of basic lab safety skills and documentation

· Experience working in a wet lab environment

· MS Office-based applications

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Positive and independent work ethic

· Able to work full-time (40hrs/week)
