MIT Lincoln Laboratory Intelligence Specialist in Lexington, Massachusetts

Who we are & what we do

The Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems and Architectures Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory invites you to apply to join our world-class team of systems analysts. Working directly with Department of Defense (DoD) senior leadership, the group provides unbiased analysis on the DoD’s most urgent and challenging problems and recommends solutions that directly impact the course of our national defense strategy. The solutions we develop within the group often lead to advanced technology development, prototyping projects, and experimental testing, both within Lincoln Laboratory and beyond.

The group’s staff are the key to the group’s national impact. They are skilled scientists, engineers, and specialists who have demonstrated deep technical backgrounds and the ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies. Our priority for the group is to deliver impactful analysis that informs DoD technology investments, while fostering the professional and personal growth of our staff. We strive for a collaborative and diverse workplace while enjoying a strong work/life balance.

As an Intelligence Specialist member of the ISR Systems and Architectures Group, you will support multiple teams within the group to provide intelligence summaries and deep dives for red/blue systems, scenarios, as well as tactics – creating and maintaining a repository of these topics on various networks. You will contribute to the development of physics and engineering-based models for a wide array of technologies related to sensors, aircraft, satellites, communication systems, navigation, and data exploitation. Where there are intelligence gaps, you will help make educated assumptions, and supplement when possible with open-source information. You will also create and maintain ties with various government organizations to stay up-to-date with current intelligence and facilitate on-going analysis.

Additionally, you will support a bi-annual conference hosted by our sponsor here at the laboratory. By leveraging relationships you develop in the position, you will interface directly with various government organizations to facilitate external participation and ensure compliance with security standards for a successful conference.
