MIT Lincoln Laboratory Inspector B (Electronic) in Lexington, Massachusetts
Job Description
Seeking an individual with a demonstrated proficiency with the inspection of electronic assemblies including printed circuit board and cables.
A preferred candidate will have knowledge of cable design and be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings for complex cables and harnesses.
This role will require using manual and automated cable test equipment to perform compliance verification to WHMA-A-620 or NASA 8739.4 quality standards. Familiarity with these standards and quality control requirements is required. The inspector will also need to perform in-process quality checks and measurements as required using equipment such as pin height gages, microscopes, pull testers, and multimeters. Basic computer skills required including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). The candidate will be also required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to cables, an inspector will be required to float between other electronic inspection areas and assist as required. These areas include printed circuit assembly and incoming inspection. Familiarity with automated optical inspection systems (AOI), digital X-Ray, X-Ray fluorescence material analysis, and counterfeit screening are a plus.
Inspection results are recorded communicated to the team and part tracking is processed through SAP. Familiarity with SAP and PLM systems is a plus. The inspector must be comfortable with communicating test results and methodology with the engineering community.
