Job Description

The Director, Business Operations will manage PAMA’s daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across departments. The role focuses on enhancing communication and collaboration to achieve alignment and synergy, offering strong leadership to department heads and teams. Responsibilities include fostering a positive, inclusive, and teamwork-oriented work environment, aligning department activities with strategic goals, assessing departmental performances, implementing improvements, optimizing resource allocation, and engaging in strategic planning to drive business growth.

How you will contribute:

  • Assist Head of PAMA Customer Engagement & Strategic Initiative with business operations and project management, providing comprehensive support and strategic counsel.

  • Manage the governance framework for the PAMA department. Lead PAMA Leadership meetings, and oversee all department-wide communication forums, such as Town Halls and Lunch and Learns.

  • Draft PAMA wide communications. Foster a positive culture by bringing diverse functions together to achieve common goals. Enhance communication awareness and alignment towards a shared purpose, and work to remove barriers that hinder inter- and intra-department communications.

  • Ensure operational and execution excellence within the PAMA department by tracking KPIs and holding the PAMA leadership team accountable for delivering on time and within budget. Develop and implement analytical and tactical internal processes to ensure timely completion of business projects, milestones, and adherence to policies.

  • Track and manage issues and risks related to the implementation of PAMA initiatives and strategies, providing meaningful metrics and summary reports.

  • Develop and align performance metrics and scorecards for functional, business unit, and cross-functional partners. Coordinate and monitor assignments which must be accomplished in conjunction with other senior executives.

  • Identify and develop internal capabilities within the PAMA department to ensure it is high-functioning and future-ready.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong preference for expertise in pharma patient and market access, specialty or rare pharmaceuticals, and deep knowledge of healthcare systems focusing on access and reimbursement required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Preferred experience in project management, communications, business intelligence, marketing, sales, business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting.

  • Skilled in crafting compelling and persuasive communications for senior leadership, adept at capturing the leader’s voice and vision to effectively engage and influence stakeholders required.

  • Extensive experience in project management, adept at planning, executing, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and strategic alignment required.

  • Proven success in completing cross-functional enterprise projects with complex business objectives, aimed at driving process improvements.

  • Experience in developing operational plans for leadership and leading cross-functional teams.

  • A successful track record of driving business process transformation, facilitating cultural change, and delivering complex business programs.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
