Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Digital Verification Engineer to validate digital designs to meet specifications. The Digital Verification Engineer will work on larger projects in which the validity of the design is critical. The Digital Verification Engineer will support design teams to implement complex transfer functions often across various devices or systems. The Digital Verification Engineer will support the development of implementation architectures from required documents or high-level specifications with limited direction. The Digital Verification Engineer will assist in troubleshooting designs operating within an integrated system. The Digital Verification Engineer will develop hardware verification plans. The Digital Verification Engineer will perform hardware verification tests and write hardware verification reports.


  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific or engineering field.

  • Strong knowledge of hardware description languages including VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.

  • Experience designing and testing programmable logic designs targeting System on Chip (SoC) FPGA architectures that required integration of the programmable logic with on-chip software processing.

  • Experience with unit-level and FPGA chip level verification of RTL.

  • Experience with laboratory benchtop testing of FPGA designs including the use of integrated logic analyzers (i.e., ChipScope) and/or laboratory equipment (i.e., stand-alone logic analyzers or digital oscilloscopes).

  • Experience designing, testing, and debugging high-speed input-output interfaces and protocols utilizing FPGA’s built-in SERDES.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including collaborating with other onsite and/or remote technical team members, preparing and sharing technical results with others, and documenting work to aid other team members and activities.

  • Experience developing and testing with Xilinx-based RFSoC devices is a plus.

  • Experience with verification methodologies such as OVM, UVM, VMM, or others is preferred.

  • Experience using Modelsim and Questa toolchain for RTL simulation is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for joint FPGA and embedded software development is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Ethernet, InfiniBand, and/or PCIe protocols, testing, tools, and debugging is a plus.

  • Familiarity with RDMA and RoCE protocols is a plus.

  • Experiencing developing, designing, and programming logic for signal processing applications is preferred.

  • Experience programming in Python is preferred.

  • Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is sufficient to start, an active Secret clearance is preferred.
