WASHLINE OPERATOR - COATING (HR-JD-1033) - Department: Coating SUMMARY: Prepare and operate the washline in order to meet the daily customer specifications and job orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Prepares washline; start-up. B. Loads and unloads customer parts from baths. C. Maintains and organizes racks on an as needed base. D. Reviews inventory system (Bellhawk) washline data. E. Prepares any special charting as required by management. F. Runs samples as requested. G. Maintains tanks on a daily and or weekly basis for up keep. H. Reports all unsafe or irregular production problems to Dept. Lead Person, Supervisor, or Manager. I. Performs housekeeping and other duties as required in a safe and organized way. J. Assists in Coating/Dipping rooms as needed. K. Reports unsafe work conditions and or alleged injuries immediately to Manager. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability and willingness to work during a 24-hour period, weekends, and holidays if necessary. WORKING CONDITIONS: Hazards include working with soaps and extremely hot water. Working conditions are good with some seasonal hot and cold as well as wet and humid conditions. EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in manufacturing helpful. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Must have good or correctable vision and depth perception. Must have a positive attitude, a satisfactory work history, maintain a good attendance record, and work well with co-workers. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to wear clean room garments. Must wear personal protective equipment where posted or required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs, bend, stoop, or stand for extended periods of time.
