Robert Half Staff Accountant in Leominster, Massachusetts

Description Our clients are seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join their team in Leominster. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, spearheading collections efforts, generating financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in billing and invoicing processes. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, handle customer inquiries, and contribute to process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of contacts and communication on delinquent accounts.

Monitor accounts receivable, identify overdue accounts, and lead the collections process in alignment with company policies.

Generate monthly reports detailing AR aging, collection activity, and cash balances to inform AR reserves, credit memos, and write-offs.

Manage the customer database, including setting up new customers and maintaining existing records.

Process invoices and liaise with vendors for effective communication.

Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, purchasing, and dispatching to ensure seamless operations.

Assist with month-end close procedures.

Address billing discrepancies promptly, conducting research when necessary.

Track job budgets based on contract values versus work completed and billed.

Manage existing service contracts and establish new ones as needed.

Generate and verify accurate client invoices based on services rendered.

Resolve customer inquiries regarding billing, statements, and payments efficiently.

Identify and escalate inquiries promptly to ensure timely resolution.

Conduct periodic assessments to identify contract discrepancies, opportunities, and process improvements. Requirements Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Aging Reports, Billing, Month End Close
