Robert Half Controller in Leominster, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a Controller in Leominster, Massachusetts, to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our financial records, including preparing and maintaining monthly financial and consolidated statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers. You will also be responsible for cost accounting, managing cash balances, and liaising with external auditors and tax consultants.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records such as cash, payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and inventories including raw materials, finished goods, and work in process.

• Review financial statements and serve as a financial advisor for all operational departments.

• Manage and report on daily cash position and monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.

• Manage and assist with preparation for annual audits and quarterly reviews, including interaction with external auditors and tax consultants.

• Oversee the month-end close process, including generating and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Create and update policies and process documents as needed.

• Work closely with all Department Heads to drive cost reduction in all areas.

• Manage the company's financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets.

• Participate in both system and process improvements by monitoring assigned areas for process improvements to ensure efficiency.

• Handle cost accounting including cost analysis of manufacturing and operations.

• Evaluate staff performance to recommend personnel actions such as hiring, retention, promotion, transfer, or dismissal. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Understanding of Cost - Standard

• Proficient in Cost Accounting

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
