ManpowerGroup Accounting Manager in Leominster, Massachusetts

Position Overview: Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager for a direct hire role with our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing accounting operations, and driving policy and procedure improvements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting principles and management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.

  • Oversee financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

  • Implement and refine accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and payroll reporting functions.

  • Conduct cost analysis and oversee inventory management to support strategic decision-making.

  • Reconcile inventory through cycle counts, identifying and resolving variances.

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

  • Collaborate with the controller to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including supervisory or managerial roles.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity and ethics, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
