Community Healthlink Access Division Clinician in Leominster, Massachusetts

Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for full-time (40 hrs/wk) Clinician in Northern Worcester County.

Staff at Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (YMCIS) work as a team to provide emergency response to youth and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis in community-based settings including homes, residential treatment centers, schools, and hospital emergency departments. The team provides an emergency intervention which includes the assessment of clinical and support services the family requires for stabilization in the community. Disposition could be referral for higher level of care, collaboration with current providers, referral for services and supports. As indicated YMCIS can continue to provide services for 7 days to aid with the stabilization process.

Clinicians provide a short-term clinical crisis intervention service that is a mobile, on-site, face-to-face therapeutic response to a youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This involves identifying, assessing, stabilizing and treating the youth and their family with the goal of reducing imminent risk and increasing coping skills and functioning.

  • Conducts crisis assessments that includes a mental status exam, assessment of crisis precipitants, behavioral assessment, strengths and resources of youth and family, risk/safety assessment, and bio-psycho-social assessment

  • Development of a risk management/safety plan.

  • Deliver a comprehensive crisis focused services to youth and families.

  • Coordinate follow-up services with community providers utilizing a wraparound approach to services.

  • Be an active participant in the multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

  • Recognize and seek consultation as needed.

  • Provide consultation and direction to family partners/paraprofessionals in the provision of support and referral activities.

  • Provide consultation to ESP staff regarding work with youth and families

  • Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.

  • Work assigned hours, which may include rotation of weekends and evening hours.

  • Participate in utilization management, employ CQI principals and assist as needed in accreditation processes.

  • Participate in YMCIS evaluation and development of protocols, policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

  • Grade 7- Clinician III: Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Grade 8- Clinician IV: Master's degree in a clinical course of study (social work, psychology, counseling or related field) and LICSW licensure or licensed Psychologist

  • Evidence of culturally competent practice required.

  • Experience in providing treatment to youth in crisis and youth abusing substances is also highly desired.
