Fresenius Medical Care North America Logistics Analyst III in Lawrence, Massachusetts
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Logistics Analyst III will perform complex analysis and reporting of business data, and drive initiatives to optimize and improve our supply chain and logistics operations. Logistics Analysts are responsible for everything from streamlining distribution center operations to redesigning the total logistics network to ensure the timely and cost-effective arrival of deliveries.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Ensure that our logistics network is operating efficiently, and meeting the changing needs of our internal and external customers
Either Drive or Participate in the logistics business reviews for our third party logistics providers
Work with internal and external accounts to present options for pricing, delivery, and services offered
Support the daily warehousing and inventory operations activities
Optimize inbound and outbound shipping, and distribution center throughput
Create business intelligence dashboards to monitor KPIs that can be used for evaluation, planning, and presentation of results, and support business objectives
Participate in developing business cases for new processes and business solutions based on
Work with operations to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
Build and manage capacity modelling for the distribution centers, and run scenario analysis as applicable
Track performance metrics for the operations and logistics providers as assigned
Help develop new tools and platforms that will continue to enable the Logistics Team to further optimize the logistics network and reduce costs
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
Mentor other staff as applicable.
Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :
BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business
Advanced Degree desirable
Comparable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :
5 – 8 years’ related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience
Proficient in SQL, PowerBI, and Microsoft Excel
Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Vehicle Routing and Scheduling systems (VRS)
Knowledge of basic inventory management and management of inventory at forward stocking locations
