Enrollment Specialist - Lawrence CBHC Program
Job Description:
Schedule: FT, 40 hrs, Mon-Fri 9-5:30

As a member of the Entry Team, the enrollment specialist serves as one of the first points of contact for individuals seeking services through the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC). The enrollment specialist communicates with the client or designee to obtain the payer eligibility and assign the proper insurance benefits and complete financial documentation.
Responsibilities:
Interviews clients or designees to accurately and comprehensively collect client demographic and insurance information and enters into the agency's EHR
Scans documents, when applicable, into the electronic system/file
For existing clients, verifies client identifier to ensure the correct medial record is retrieved
Researches client insurance plan and verifies insurance eligibility
Enrolls client into the appropriate program/service in the agency’s EHR
Collects co-payments when appropriate and required (?)
Answers common, non-clinical / complex questions and escalates questions as appropriate
Responsible for transfer of viral client information for shift changes
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED, a minimum of 1 yr. Experience in a related field; multitasking, time management and strong attention to detail are essential.
Knowledge of billing practices preferred
Excellent customer service skills
