As a monitor for Youth On The Move Inc., you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all passengers during their journey. You are the attentive support system on board, responsible for supervising and assisting passengers, particularly children and individuals with special needs. Your presence provides peace of mind for both passengers and their families, as you help maintain a calm, orderly environment throughout the trip. Your commitment to safety and care directly impacts the quality of service we provide, making you an essential part of our team. Duties and Responsibilities: ? Safety and Passenger well-being: Your top priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers throughout the journey. ? Behavior Management: Observe passenger behavior and uphold vehicle rules to maintain order. ? Clear Communication: Facilitate clear communication with the driver and office staff about any passenger issues or concerns. ? Supportive Environment: Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for passengers during their ride. Requirements: ? Able to pass a criminal offender and sex offender background checks (CORI and SORI). ? Able to pass a drug test (which includes screening for marijuana) and a physical examination. ? Must be physically able to assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles, as necessary, and occasionally lift as much as 50 pounds. ? Must be able to load and secure child seats and wheelchairs in vehicles (training included). ? Must supervise passengers to ensure safe and appropriate behavior. ? Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time. Qualifications: ? Must have effective oral communication skills in English. ? Must be CPR qualified (training included). ? Must have good interpersonal skills for dealing with passengers, families, and program personnel. ? Must have effective crisis-management skills. ? Must have reliable transportation to and from work. ? Must have a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
