Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Security & Welcome Desk Associate in Hyannis, Massachusetts

Provide excellent customer service to all employees & visitors to Cape Cod 5?s headquarters by serving as first point of contact at the Welcome Desk. Follow policies, procedures & protocols that safeguard the Bank?s employees & premises against risk of unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism & criminal activity. Perform opening procedures for the headquarters building, following escalation procedures as required. Actively monitor security cameras & other surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity at HQ5. Utilize cameras to review activity at other locations as needed. Monitor entrances & exits, checking identification of visitors & employees, & ensuring only authorized personnel gain access to restricted areas. Provide guidance & assist with troubleshooting banking center security equipment. Patrol assigned post on foot to observe possible unusual activity. Investigate & report maintenance & safety conditions which might endanger all inhabitants. Respond to any public safety incident, including medical, fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, or other headquarter facility related events. Ensure that daily administrative documentation is concise & complete at all times; maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional & presentable condition. Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Supervisor or other responsible executives; complete various assignments as required; submit reports to supervisor. Investigate security related accidents/incidents, responsible for gathering physical evidence & preserving it for future use; complete report & follow up with management as needed. Manage & issue ID badges, & access control fobs. Ensure that all employees, suppliers, & visitors on company property have proper company issued identification. Contribute to providing for a safe & professional work environment for facility personnel. De-escalate any potential issues using de-escalation methods, & tact. Participate in emergency drills & maintain knowledge of evacuation procedures. Respond to incidents like robberies, fire alarms, medical emergencies, & other security breaches according to established protocols. Rotate on-call (24/7/365) duties for Banking Center colleagues & alarms. When possible, determine whether to dispatch police or cancel alarms based on the information provided & review of cameras. Escalate issues to Bank Executive Team as needed. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS 3 years in similar position or a combination of education & relevant work experience. Experience in a banking environment or law enforcement a plus. Experience with security systems & equipment a plus. Military, Law Enforcement, or Security experience required. Trained in unarmed self-defense technics. Successfully complete Site-specific training within the first thirty days. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Professional demeanor with focus on exemplary customer service. Proficient with technology to efficiently & effectively navigate the alarm, badge, camera & audit systems. Must be flexible with the ability to multi-task on competing priorities & tracking assignments, while maintaining attention to detail & meeting established deadlines. Must have a disposition to quickly deescalate potential incidents. Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to climb stairs, sit &/or stand for extended periods of time Must have strong verbal & written communication skills. Must have basic computer, data entry, & report writing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Assist with sensitive investigations, requiring discretion. Trusted team member with confidential or sensitive information. Ability to be on-call after-hours, & willing to travel to other locations as needed. Ability to be on-site between 5:30 am & 7:30 pm, & for occasional overtime & extended hours as required for after hour events.
