The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Data Analytics Manager in Hyannis, Massachusetts

The Data Analytics Manager oversees, directs & manages the Bank?s Data Analytics Team. Using internal systems & external metrics to collect, research, & analyze information, the Data Analytics Manager extracts actionable insights, presents findings, develops reports / scorecards, & recommends changes based on data insights & market information to draw conclusions, solve problems, improve business outcomes, & drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Partners with all lines of business across the Bank in order to communicate & understand bank-wide strategy, business needs, processes, required data & sources. Manages Data Analysts, coordinates workflow. Motivates & trains staff to the standards & objectives to support data maintenance, retrieval & reporting. Completes periodic performance appraisals with clear & achievable goals, & monitors the employee?s progress. Researches, collects, cleans, analyzes & reports on data to find key insights, makes meaningful recommendations, & identifies opportunities. Ensures all relevant data points have been incorporated into reporting in order to conduct a comprehensive analysis. Prepares & presents analytical findings in reports, summaries, dashboards, graphs, charts & maps to provide users with detailed intelligence about the state of the business. Creates graphs, infographics & other methods to visualize data to accompany written interpretation. Draws conclusions from data to describe, predict, & improve business performance & provides insights to senior management & business leaders in support of decision-making efforts. Develops & implements data-driven strategies to improve business processes, increase efficiency, & drive revenue growth. Leverages technology to automate data gathering, modeling, & workflows throughout the organization. Creates actionable dashboards, reports, & visualizations & educates users how to best utilize them. Creates & maintains data sets, views, & functions to be utilized for reports & by others. Analyzes information regarding profit, loss, & income/expenses to budget & prepares presentations incorporating tables, charts on business analytics for each business unit. Creates modeling where applicable to support the development of incentive goals & works with senior leaders to establish these goals for their respective business unit. Manages data required to support multiple incentive programs throughout the Bank, tracking metrics & updating scorecards. Analyzes product trends, consumer demographic information & marketing campaigns to identify & suggest opportunities for product sales & service marketing. Generates monthly, quarterly, annual reports for business units & board reports as requested. Manages relationships with external vendors & partners to access additional data sources or analytical tools as needed. Remains current on industry st&ards, identifies new sources of data & methods to improve data collection, data quality, analysis, & reporting. Education &/or Experience: Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Economics; or its equivalent through substantial specialized education in finance & business. Five or more years of business analyst role preferably in a banking environment. Experience creating dynamic & actionable dashboards with data visualization tools, such as Cognos, Power BI or Tableau. Exceptional Excel skills & superior capabilities in other Microsoft Office programs including Word & PowerPoint. Knowledge of banking core processing systems, financial data management systems, SQL or as Business Analytics. Previous team management experience preferred.
