Our client west of Boston has a very exciting long term contract opportunity for a Sr. EIC Engineer! If you have worked more than 8 years in electrical, computers, mechanical, chemical, process, or petroleum and have a relevant engineering degree this could be an amazing opportunity!

Candidates should have working experience as a member of an engineering, maintenance, technology, or construction project team, contributing to the construction and maintenance of process plants. Electrical knowledge related to AC and DC power, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, and motors are also important for this role. responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in project meetings to stay informed on progress and provide technical expertise in instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.

  • Offers troubleshooting assistance for the company's liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities as required.

  • Assists team members in executing capital projects effectively, covering planning, engineering, and project management.

  • Ensures adherence to relevant codes and standards like NFPA 59A, 70E, 40 CFR 193, NEC Article 500, etc.

  • Contributes to budgeting, cost estimation, bid preparation, equipment analysis, and selection.

  • Ensures prompt handling of submittals and RFIs.

  • Supports the development of new procedures for processes and equipment.

  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation for future regulatory review.

  • Manages projects concerning medium voltage power systems, controls, security, cyber security, and instrumentation.

  • Ensures projects meet quality, technical, reliability, schedule, and budget objectives.

  • Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
