job summary:

A leader in Northeastern utilities is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join its team out of Eastern Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to become direct hire.

As I&C Engineer, you will lead the design team and manage electrical instrumentation and controls projects for medium-voltage utilty systems- including VFDs, PLCS and more. You will troubleshoot plant systems and support liquid natural gas (LNG) projects, ensure compiance with industry codes and oversee project implementation on site. This role is a travel role which requires an individual to visit various plant sites with their own vehicle. Travel includes MA and CT.

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, 8+ years in I&C engineering in maintenance or construction/design-build, and be familiar with NFPA and NEC standards. A valid driver's license is required. You should be familiar with AC/DC power, utility-scale projects and a PE license is preferred. Journeyman Electricians may substitute 15 years of experience in lieu of an engineering degree.
