JJob Title: Recovery Support Liaison, Reentry & Recovery Programs Location: MassHire Holyoke Career Center as home base, hybrid-remote, and within the Hampden County Sheriff?s Office corrections facilities Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Salary: \$47,000 - \$50,000 Reports To: Executive Director, Reentry & Recovery Programs Job Posted: February 2024 Summary: Working closely with the Reentry & Recovery Program Team, the Recovery Support Liaison will provide support services to justice-involved individuals in early recovery, to maintain their recovery and prepare them for employment. In addition, the Recovery Support Liaison will aid in the implmentation of our Recovery Ready Workplace (RRW) initiative, developed to encourage businesses to foster a supportive environment for employees impacted by addiction and substance abuse disorders (SUD?s). The job duties include a combination of group facilitation, detailed administrative and direct service duties. The Recovery Support Liaison will assist with the provision of services provided through the Community Empowerment Reinvestment Grant Program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate an evidence-based curriculum, Recovery Roadmaps, and pre-employment workshops at various locations within the community, the Hampden County Sheriff?s Office Corrections facilities, and virtually as necessary Successfully create a positive atmosphere and a safe space for open discussion for individuals recovering from substance use disorders (SUD?s) and justice-involved individuals Assist in the implementation of the RRW Program with employers who have committed to the Program and facilitate information sessions with company employees, as needed Aid in the development of programs, trainings, materials, and events to teach individuals about SUD?s and managing existing conditions Provide general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and preparing workshop materials Provide direct service to individuals by completing thorough intake processes and follow-up appointments Maintain accurate, time sensitive, and confidential database systems Promote all aspects of MassHire Career Centers, community-based programs, and post corrections services to program participants and employers Promote programs and services to the community-at-large and support all marketing efforts, including social media and other methods Maintain strong working relationships with our partners, including the Hampden County Sheriff?s Department, residential treatment centers, and other community agencies serving the recovery population Perform other tasks as assigned by the Reentry & Recovery Management Team Qualifications: Associate degree and at least 4 years? experience providing direct services to individuals with substance use disorders, mental and behavioral health issues, and /or criminal justice involvement. Experience can be substituted for education requirement CADC or LADC credential preferred Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Knowledge of career and workforce development topics. Excellent group facilitation skills Knowledge and understanding of motivational interviewing, cultural competency, and trauma-informed treatment Project coordination experience and an ability to work well with all levels of management and staff, outside customers and vendors Technologically proficient in internet research, online platforms such as Zoom, Google Suite, and programs within the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint Able to maintain confidential, system-wide database systems Be a lifelong learner, and willing to attend various workshops, conferences, and community events to keep abreast of developments, trends, and best practices Must have a valid Drivers License and ability to travel using personal vehicle.
