Part-Time PCA Job Description Week days Monday - thursday or Weekends Friday - Sunday We are seeking a 2 part-time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support an elderly female from Holyoke with some mobility challenges and other aging-related health conditions. The consumer requires oxygen support and needs assistance with walking, using a cane or walker, and navigating small steps. She is an English/Spanish speaker. Responsibilities: Daily Living Assistance: Provide assistance with daily living activities, including: Cooking: Prepare 2 meals a day for the patient who is on a restricted diet Household Tasks: Perform grocery shopping, laundry (inside and outside the home), sweeping, mopping, household cleaning and other light physical tasks as needed. Strong home care skills are essential. Transportation and Appointments: Offer medical and routine care appointment reminders and rides. Note: The consumer has her own car but cannot drive at this time. Personal Care: Provide companionship and support with other daily living activities. Service Dog Care: Walk and provide limited care for the consumer?s 5-pound service dog. Requirements: Driver\'s License: Must have a valid driver\'s license and be able to drive. Daytime Schedule: 12-20 hours per week, with 4-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, between 10 AM and 5 PM. Occasional overtime may be required for consumer appointments. Weekend Schedule: 12-15 hours per week, Friday through Sunday, between 11 AM and 7 PM.
