Our residents are free to come and go as they please, and they have the structure and reassurance of around-the-clock assistance from professional nursing and support staff, if they need it.

What You'll Do:

  • Promote the optimal well-being of our residents, including personal care, oral hygiene, medication administration, treatments, hydration, and nutrition.

  • Serve as a charge person for a shift, overseeing nursing support and care delivered by others.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, families, and physicians, both orally and in writing.

  • Document activities in accordance with facility procedures, ensuring timely reporting of problems, concerns, and safety issues.

  • Follow all safety, security, infection control, and quality protocols to ensure the safety of residents, co-workers, and facility property.

  • Focus on customer satisfaction and deliver high-quality care in line with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of THSC.

  • Attend regulation and THSC mandated in-services, follow abuse/neglect reporting requirements, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

What You'll Need:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma and the ability to make mature and accurate judgments.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to provide personal care with respect for privacy and dignity, gained through HHA or CNA courses, nursing studies, or caring for individuals with disabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with individuals of varying age, culture, religion, and ability.

  • Physical stamina to remain active during your shift, including bending, lifting, standing, walking, and carrying supplies. You may also need to assist in lifting fallen individuals in emergency situations.
