Eliot's MSPCC Prevention Program in Holyoke is seeking an experienced candidate for an Intake and Outreach Coordinator. You will d evelop effective relationships with staff and clients through utilization of interviewing skills, education, role modeling, and the provision of supportive, concrete services.

MSPCC’s Healthy Families programs are nationally accredited, evidence-based, home visiting, parenting education programs that support young, first-time parents to create stable, nurturing environments for their children. Healthy Families is designed to be a primary prevention service focused on building and promoting protective factors in families. These efforts include supporting positive, effective parenting skills, fostering optimal health, growth and development in infancy and early childhood, promoting increased educational attainment, job and life skills, reducing repeat teen pregnancies and promoting parental health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine potential eligibility for programs following intake policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for coordinating referrals from multiple programs and agencies in catchment area and general follow up and follow through with those referred.

  • Model for staff how to conduct assessment, and develop and implement appropriate service plan utilizing appropriate community resources.

  • Attend community meetings and staff meetings as well as any mandated trainings.

  • Plan, Organize and Implement the Fathers and Family Network series of lunches.

  • Must Be comfortable with public speaking and making presentation to community resources.

  • Develop effective relationships with staff and clients through utilization of interviewing skills, education, role modeling, and the provision of supportive, concrete services.

  • Educate families as to the local available resources.

  • Assist with the development of marketing materials.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the community’s System of Care and the resources that are available to families.

  • Candidates must be a self starter,organized, and a team player.

  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

  • One time 6% increase for bilingual.

  • Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

  • Salary:$ 44,158.40 /year
