Human Resources Coordinator
Our client in Holyoke, Mass. the largest and most admired community bank in Western Massachusetts, is seeking a HR Coordinator to support their team. Primary Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Answer phone in HR office
Field employee questions and direct to appropriate HR Dept. resource
Process and distribute incoming mail in HR Department
Create and distribute documents
Provide customer service to organization employees
Look up information in HRIS system
Set appointments and arrange meetings
Attend meetings and manage minutes
Oversee the completion of new hire documentation
Onboard new employees to the organization (set up employees in timeclock, prepare and order photo ID badge, review employee handbook, review job descriptions, etc.)
Serve as a point person for all new employee questions
Record Maintenance
Maintain current HR files and databases
Update and maintain employment status, and similar records
Maintain records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
Perform file audits (such as I-9 and job descriptions) to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
Complete termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews
Purge terminated files according to record retention standards
Recruitment/New Hire Process
Post job ads internally and externally and organize resumes and job applications
Conduct phone screens
Schedule job interviews and assist in interview process
Assist new hires with completion of new hire paperwork
Ensure background and reference checks are completed prior to employee start dates
Prepare new employee files
