US Tsubaki HR/Payroll Coordinator in Holyoke, Massachusetts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed. Responsible for the weekly processing of hourly union payrolls for both USTP and USTA by reviewing employee timecards in time management system, correct any discrepancies, and process payroll making sure balances total using Paylocity software. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels internally, externally, and think globally. On-site contact for supervisor and employee questions regarding payroll related issues. Encourage and support employees and manage self-service, where available. Where not available, ensure accurate and timely entry of HR data (hires, data changes, terminations). Assist with employee compliance in policies, safety, and the overall business strategy of the organization. Accurately maintain employee records i.e., earned personal / sick time, accruals, service awards / anniversaries, FMLA spreadsheets, etc., both paper and electronically to obtain information quickly and accurately to assist with decision making, audits, or reporting. Assist with programs and activities such as annual benefits, open enrollment communications, year-round wellness initiatives; recognition programs for length of service, retirement; picnics, and charitable events. Support Human Resources in other day-to-day functions. Requirements High School Diploma required. Minimum 5 years\' experience with Payroll processing preferred. College Degree is business or HR beneficial, but not necessary. Manufacturing environment a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to Human Resources / Payroll. Demonstrate good judgement and decision making with the ability to analyze situations and present a resolution(s). Paylocity and Kronos software knowledge preferred. Manufacturing environment a plus, but not required. Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required, basic knowledge of PowerPoint. Attention to detail/accuracy, ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as time management skills are highly critical to this role. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing; comfortable doing presentations. Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing an emphasis on excellent customer service.
