Viability, Inc. Community Living Specialist-ASL Required in Holyoke, Massachusetts

*Sign on bonus after first week of training and after 90 days* Position: Community Living Supervisor Full-Time (Fluency in American Sign Language and lived experience with deaf culture required) Location: Holyoke, MA with regular travel throughout Western Mass and Berkshires Rate of Pay: $20 per hour (with additional $40 biweekly stipend for second language) Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; some nights and weekends Full-Time Community Living Supervisor Summary: The Program Supervisor is responsible for the development and effective operation of specific functions of the supported living program. S/he assures that all objectives are met and works with the Director to assure that operations are managed within budgetary limits. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the management and supervision of staff for the program. In addition, the Program Supervisor participates in management tasks in the running of the office and provides back-up support in other programs. The Program Supervisor implements the organization?s mission and values by supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Must be fluent in ASL. Full-Time Community Living Supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree with seven years related experience OR Master's degree with five years related experience with one year experience in a supervisory role and demonstrated completion of an approved supervisory training program. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations. Full-Time Community Living Supervisor Requirements: Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential. Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
