Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Buyer in the manufacturing industry based in Holliston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will utilize your skills in Enterprise Resource Planning and communication to manage materials procurement, ensuring customer order fulfillment and maintaining effective business relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize MRP systems to plan and procure materials, ensuring the fulfillment of customer orders.

• Manage MRP data to provide accurate reporting.

• Establish and maintain effective business processes and relationships with key suppliers.

• Negotiate the total cost of material for assigned commodities or product lines.

• Participate in corrective actions related to supplier performance and delivery.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies as necessary.

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality Departments to resolve supplier issues and ensure material and service supply requirements are met.

• Actively engage with cross-functional teams in support of new product development.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP Solutions.

• Familiarity with the software 'About Time' is necessary.

• Knowledgeable in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Must have experience in Buying Processes within the manufacturing industry.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.

• The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and its purchasing dynamics.

• Proven ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant work experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
