What We Need
This position will support the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery and Commercial Liability Insurance programs to ensure a resilient organization well equipped to recover from a business disruption. Responsibilities include hands on managing of the procurement and renewal of all corporate and subsidiary insurance policies, coordination of all related claims activity, managing of relationships with third party advisors and brokers, identifying exposures and insurance solutions, providing insurance requirements and risk management advisory for vendor arrangements and corporate events. In addition, this position will be responsible for frequent interaction with business owners to understand initiatives requiring an insurance and loss prevention perspective, business continuity planning, developing annual insurance budgets, and promoting safety throughout the organization.
This role will work in conjunction with business leaders across the organization to ensure crisis management awareness as well as the appropriate preparedness of personnel during the event of a disaster. This includes providing training and awareness on required deliverables as well as tracking and monitoring for completion. Leveraging strong technical, analytical, communication, and leadership skills, the candidate will bridge business continuity, emergency management and disaster recovery into a cohesive whole.
Key Accountabilities:
Commercial Liability Insurance
Collaborate with Senior Leaders across the organization to provide actionable reports on how the company manages risks in connection to insurance renewals
Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure insurance coverage meets and evolves with business requirements
With direction, help to manage the procurement and renewal of all corporate and subsidiary insurance policies by interfacing with advisors, providing up-to-date information on BCBSMA and completing renewal applications
Coordinate and report on all related commercial insurance claims activity including placing carriers on notice of potential claims and providing updates as needed
Work with Legal and Procurement to provide insurance requirements and risk management advisory for vendor arrangements and corporate events

Business Continuity
Support the execution of requirements for business impact analysis, risk assessments, plan updates, exercises, reviews, and training. This will include documenting and maintaining data collected in initial and ongoing Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Risk Assessments, Recovery Strategies and Plans in the Business Continuity system of record
Provide data analysis, create management reports and manage database processes
Participate in RFP Process helping to triage questions and maintain the on-going renewals of vendor contracts
Develop communications and real-time reporting for all levels of the organization including the Board of Directors, senior executives, and all associates
Ensure that the processes performed by the business and technology are in accordance with internal policies and standards
Provide training, support, and business continuity consulting across the organization as needed
Maintain and distribute various documents to ensure that the company is prepared in case of a crisis
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills required, with a capacity for analyzing and presenting data in plain language to a variety of audiences. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently deliver
Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills; must be comfortable working in technical as well as a business process environment
Strong initiative, seeks challenges, strives to progress their business continuity competencies, excellent business acumen, and easily establishes and sustains internal and external relationships in a complex organizational environment
Proficiency in MS office products, particularly Excel, and general data management tools
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
Confident, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Builds relationships and utilizes networks across levels and organizations to achieve results
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to influence the decisions and opinion of others without having direct authority
Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle a high workload and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Should be available on a 24/7 basis for weather monitoring
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience
Understanding of BCBSMA or other health insurance plan processes a plus
Working knowledge of with information technology systems and/or business management principles
Experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, business resiliency / disaster recovery concepts and methodology a plus
A mind for process, a passion for data, and a willingness to take on tough challenges in a fast-paced environment
Experience executing the business resiliency planning cycle including analysis, design, implementation, validation, testing, problem resolution
Analytical framework and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) skills required

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $90,300.00
The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
