Lead a small, high performance group in day to day activities of running Chesterton’s Global Network and Systems infrastructure. Work with and execute projects from the Technology and Innovation group, implementing systems changes and streamlining processes. Support the implementation of systems and services from the IT Customer Service team as well as the development teams. Provide leadership in evaluating better systems and processes that create a cost effective working environment for Chesterton businesses. Install and support systems globally working with our IT teams and contract support world-wide. Work with IT management to develop and create cloud strategy with respect to Chesterton global infrastructure.
Manage Information Technology Network and Server Group personnel
Develop, execute and maintain cloud services as defined in the strategy, including migration efforts
Analyze external data for relevance in solving outstanding internal Information Technology System, Structure or Process issues within the Infrastructure or Development Domains.
Manage global support programs to implement multiple projects that may have several participants within IT or the business.
Manage budgets for the group
Manage communications to IT technical resources as well as business members. Maintain a working relationship with the Technology and Innovation group.
Prepare written reports to help in planning projects
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisioning.
Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsource, and consultant contracts with service agreements specific to the networking and server activities for USA and EME.
Establish and maintain regular, written and in-person communications with the organization’s senior managers and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
Complexity of Duties:
Design and implement up to date network infrastructures with virtual and cloud based server systems.
Develop, implement and maintain strategies to improve and enhance the efficiency of IT systems.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial, business and technical reports, as needed.
Ability to subjectively supervise, manage and motivate a broad range of resources effectively.
Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
Ability to manage, plan and direct resources to effectively meet constant and changing deadlines.
Wide application of the principles, theories and concepts of business and IT implementation strategies.

Technically savvy and operationally disciplined technical manager
Strong network and systems engineer
Proven experience in IT infrastructure development, strategic planning, project management, and policy development.
Experience evaluating and working with technical details of complex networks and heterogeneous operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards in a global setting.
Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems in an innovative way.
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.
Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in engineering, computer science or related field
10+ years experience in a technical implementation decision-making role required.
Experience supporting multiple physical sites, including global locations is highly desired.
Strong experience as a people manager, including experience with, and desire to mentor and develop a small team of IT professionals.
Experience with Hyper-V management, maintenance, and monitoring
Experience with management and configuration of SAN
Experience installing, patching, configuring and monitoring Windows Servers
Experience with cloud backup and recovery technologies, LiveVault a plus.
Experience configuring, patching, and monitoring CISCO network appliances and phone systems
Experience managing outsourced resources and service providers
Experience working with Azure and AWS cloud technologies
