GREENFIELD Substitute School Nurse LOCATION: District-wide DUTIES: - Provide health services to all students in accordance with State and Local regulations - Dispense medication to students per School Committee Policy - Provide health related information to groups of students and to students on an individual basis - Update and maintain Health Policy Manual as required by DOE - Assume responsibility for obtaining and maintaining health documentation for all students QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing - License as Registered Nurse from the Board of Nursing, preferred - Certification as School Nurse from Department of Education, preferred - Current first aid and CPR certification - Experience with school-age nursing, young adult experience preferred - Current understanding of health issues in school-age children - Familiarity with public health requirements for public schools - Adequate skill with computer to manage computerized health data system (SNAP) - Commitment to health and well-being of school-age children - Willingness to be a member of a system health-care team - Ability to work well with staff, parents and students - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Transportation between buildings may be required - Such reasonable alternatives as deemed acceptable At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required
