GREENFIELD - Senior Teller General Statement of Duties: A Senior Teller\'s position will encompass that of a Teller 2 and serve as a coach and trainer to other tellers. They will strategize with management on effective relationship-based sales techniques and work with the teller team to consistently improve referral quality. The Senior Teller will ensure the operational soundness of the teller line through inspection and coaching. Essential Job Responsibilities Required to provide unparalleled customer service during each interaction through a high level of professionalism both in person and on the phone Process routine transactions as requested by customers quickly and accurately such as deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, payments, IRA transactions and issuing official items behind the teller line as required by office needs Process all complex transactions as requested by customers including wires, fraud, research, and new accounts (consumer). Assist with Branch reconciliations as needed while helping other tellers find and correct errors Ordering cash and verification of incoming or outgoing cash as needed Can speak with customers knowledgably about more complex accounts (business, trusts, IRAs, etc.) and identify and assist customers with enrolling in, or education on, additional services Will have personal referral/sales goals that will contribute to the branch\'s performance Contributes to building a positive team environment Assumes responsibility for self-improvement through training courses (internal and external) as well as personal curiosity and inquisitiveness Act as a peer coach to other tellers at the branch as well as the float on all topics including sales, operations, and customer service Work with management in the development and implementation of best practices to improve both sales techniques, productivity, and operational soundness Responsible for compliance and understanding of the Bank\'s policies, procedures, and legal guidelines, both new and existing. A Senior Teller may have supervisor authority which may include, staff supervisor, and system override capability. All authority will be given at the Branch Manager\'s discretion. Additional responsibility, as needed by office, will be assigned by the Branch Manager Desired Experience & Skills Internal Candidates: Minimum of \"Meets Expectations\" on annual performance review 2-3 years of banking or financial services experience 1+ year(s) experience in cash handling position that involved customer service 2-3 years of experience in a sales environment (desired) Great interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills Ability to perform simple math such as interest calculations, percentages, multiplication, and division High School Diploma or equivalent.
